Andreja Pejić is the most recognizable transgender model in the world and also LGBTQ activist. Before completing her transition into womanhood in late 2013 Pejić was known as the first completely androgynous supermodel.
Due to her peculiar face and physical structure, she has succeeded in modeling both men’s and women’s catwalks for Jean-Paul Gaultier’s shows and modeled on the men’s catwalk for Marc Jacobs. In 2011, Pejić ranked 18th in the Men’s Top 50 lists of Models.com, and 98 in FHM magazine, as one of the sexiest women in the world.
She has been in editorials for various international magazines such as Vogue Paris, Vogue Turkey, Vogue Italy, Vogue Australia, Vogue Brazil, i-D, W and been cover for para Harper’s Bazaar, GQ or L’Officiel. She has also done campaigns for brands like H&M or Reformation.
